City Wine & Cigar has opened in the space previously occupied by The Grapevine in the Victoria Commons Plaza in DeLand.

This new business venture is a collaboration among friends Elvira Hanna, Melissa Stalzer, Jessica Ferrentino, Paula Outzen, and Paul Hunt. Some of the friends have known each other since childhood and the rest met via their careers in the real estate, title and building industry.

City Wine & Cigar is majority women owned, and two of the owners are also military veterans; Paul Hunt served in the Royal Navy as a military diver, and Melissa Stalzer served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and U.S. Navy Reserves.
